Earnings Update: Merck

Merck (MRK) reported Q3 earnings per share of $0.95 which was above the consensus estimate of $0.93.

Revenues for the quarter we reported at $11.49 billion, which was below the consensus estimate of $11.56 billion.

The company guided full year 2012 EPS to a range of $3.78 - $3.82 versus the prior range of $3.75 - $3.85.

MRK stock last traded in the after-hours session at $46.83, up from the closing price of $46.30.
