Economic Update: Construction Spending

The Commerce Department reported that Construction Spending fell by -0.6% in August.

The level was below the expectations for an increase of +0.4%.

July’s reading was revised up to -0.4% from -0.9% (June: +0.4%, May: +0.4, April: +0.6%, March: +0.3%, Feb: -1.1% Jan: -0.8).
