Earnings Update: General Electric

GE reported Q4 EPS of $0.28, which was above the Reuters consensus estimate of $0.26. However, it should be noted that the company reported $0.06 per share in one-time tax benefits.

The company reported revenue of $41.44 billion, which was better than the Reuters estimate of $39.6 billion.

Chief Executive Jeff Immelt said the company's 2010 financial "framework," which calls for 2010 earnings to be about equal to 2009 results, "quite achievable."
