Fed Update: Bernanke Nomination Approved by Banking Committee
Although the process was tense at times, the Senate Banking Committee approved nomination of Ben Bernanke to second term as Fed Chairman. The final vote was 16-7.
The full Senate is expected to vote on the nomination in January.
Stocks remain lower today in response to the dollar breaking technical levels.
