Housing Starts Up 8.4% in November; Permits Above Consensus

Economic Update: Housing Starts
Seasonally adjusted annualized Housing Starts for the month of November were up 8.9%. Annualized starts were reported at 574K, which was in line with the expectations for an annualized rate of 574K and October’s revised level of 527K (from 529K).
Building Permits came in at 584K vs. the consensus for 570K and October’s revised level of 551K (from 552K).
