Economic Update: ISM Non-Manufacturing Composite

ISM reported that the Non-Manufacturing composite’s reading for November fell to 48.7, which is well BELOW the consensus for a reading of 51.5 and the October reading of 50.6.

This is the lowest reading since July.

The ISM Non-Manufacturing Composite is designed to measure the health of the services sector in the economy.

Recall that readings over 50 indicate expansion in the sector while readings under 50 indicate contraction.
