Looking Ahead to Friday's Market

Quick Recap of Thursday’s Session:
Stocks finished decidedly higher for the second straight session on Thursday. Major indices started the day trending higher as sentiment surrounding the fiscal cliff improved. Trading was choppy throughout the day as the S&P 500 traded to the lows and highs of a 9-point range. Stocks finished the day at similar prices to those just a few minutes after the open, in positive territory for the second session in a row.
S&P 500 +0.43%, NASDAQ +0.68%, DJIA +0.28%, Midcaps +0.67%.
Looking Ahead to Friday:
- Overnight we get Retail Sales from Germany, Consumer Spending from France, preliminary CPIs from Spain, the Eurozone, and Italy, PPI from France and Italy, and Unemployment data from Italy
and the Eurozone.
- Before the opening bell here in the U.S. is Personal Consumption & Income.
- Shortly after the open is the Chicago PMI at 9:45am EST.
