Amazon.com Report Disappoints on All Fronts

Earnings Update: Amazon.com
Amazon.com (AMZN) reported Q3 earnings per share of -$0.23 which was well below the consensus estimate of -$0.07.
Revenues for the quarter we reported at $13.81 billion, which was below the consensus estimate of $13.92 billion.
The company guided Q4 Revenues to a range of $20.25 - $22.75 billion, below the consensus of $22.88 billion
AMZN stock last traded in the after-hours session at $206.90, down from the closing price of $222.92.
Amazon.com is viewed as a proxy for online retail sales. And with the all important holiday shopping season coming up, investors appear to be concerned.
