Europe Update: UK GDP Above Expectations
Preliminary Q3 GDP for the UK was reported at 0.0%, which was above the expectations for -0.5% and last quarter’s -0.5%.
On a quarterly basis, GDP rose +1.0%, well above consensus for +0.6% and the prior quarter’s -0.4%.
The report has caused European bourses and U.S. stock futures to rally.
