Economic Update: New Home Sales
The Commerce Department reported New Home Sales in September rose 21,000 or 5.7% to an annualized rate of 389K. This was above the consensus expectation for a rate of 385K.
The total sales is the best since April 2010.
In addition, the median price of new homes increased.
In sum, this was an encouraging report.
