The Donald Says He Has an Obama 'Game-Changer'

When we heard the news from several sources that Donald Trump was going to reveal a major “bombshell” Wednesday which will rock the Obama campaign, our first instinct was to check the schedule for the Celebrity Apprentice to see if it was coming back on-air soon.

That was not the case, but certainly Trump’s past history of trying to get back into the headlines when the show is about to launch a new season made it a pretty reasonable assumption.

And, is it any coincidence that the filming of the first ever “All-Star Celebrity Apprentice” began on Monday, October 15th? According to reports, the program will begin airing in March 2013 and will feature “top contestants” from prior shows.

CNBC has the lineup as follows: Trace Adkins, Stephen Baldwin, Gary Busey, Penn Jillette, Lil Jon, Dennis Rodman, Dee Snider, Marilu Henner, La Toya Jackson, Claudia Jordan, Omarosa, Lisa Rinna, Brande Roderick, and Bret Michaels.

So what is up with this Trump announcement, which Trump revealed will likely come via Twitter? (Recall that Mr. Trump has already waged a long and intense campaign versus Pres. Obama on the “Birther Issue” and to the best of our knowledge has never officially declared it “over”).

According to ABC News, the intrigue first started last week in a tweet by Mr. Trump:

@realDonaldTrump ”I’ll be making a major announcement on President Obama next week — stay tuned!”

The report was reinforced in a Trump interview on Fox and Friends, “It’s going to be announced probably on Wednesday. But I have something very, very big concerning the President of the United States.”

And as recently as Tuesday morning he was on CNBC’s Squawk Box, saying “I do have something that's very big. It's about President Obama.” Asked if he could provide any hints of what he might be divulging, Trump said, "No, but tomorrow you'll see."

Entertainment Weekly offered a few guesses:

“So, what could Trump possibly have up his incredibly luxurious sleeves? Maybe he’s discovered Obama’s real birth certificate. Maybe he read the president’s diary, which is filled with pages of “Mr. and Mr. Bill Ayers” written in bubble letters and doodles of hammers and sickles. Or maybe Trump’s going to shock the world by unveiling something damning he learned about Mitt Romney, possibly while they were vacationing together in a European country only rich people know about.”

Monday night during his “live debate tweets’, The Donald teased it again, tweeting, “Everybody is asking about my announcement this Wednesday concerning Barack Obama---just wait and see! “

Whether you love him or hate him, one has to admit Mr. Trump is a master of publicity and you can bet your ‘combover’ we will be tuned in “around noonish” Wednesday for the big announcement.
