GE Revenues Soft; Immelt Says Global Economy is Uncertain

Earnings Update: General Electric
General Electric (GE) reported Q3 earnings per share of $0.36 (ex-items) which was in line with the consensus estimate of $0.36.
On the revenue side, the company produced revenues for the quarter of $36.35 billion, which was below of the consensus estimate of $36.96 billion.
Revenues rose 2.8% on the year.
CEO Jeff Immelt said, "The global economy is uncertain, and we are prepared for a variety of economic outcomes. We will continue to invest to win in our markets, while aggressively managing our overall cost structure."
“The overall environment remains challenging, but GE continues to execute on our growth strategy. GE's Industrial segments delivered another quarter of strong organic revenue growth, and we ended the quarter with a robust backlog,” Immelt added via a statement.
GE stock last traded in the after-hours session at $22.55, down from the closing price of $22.81.
