Economic Update: Weekly Jobless Claims
Initial Claims for Unemployment Insurance for the week ending 9/29 rose 4,000 and were reported at 367K.
The total was below the consensus estimate for 371K and last week’s initially reported total of 359k (which has been revised up to 363k).
Continuing Claims for the week ending 9/22 came in at 3.281M vs. consensus of 3.286M.
