Germany's IFO Business Climate Index Slides in September

Europe Update: German IFO Business Climate Index
The IFO Business Climate Index in Germany for the month of September shows that business sentiment continues to struggle in even the continent’s strongest economy.
The IFO index was reported at 101.4, which was below the consensus estimate for 102.0.
The Current Conditions Index came in at 110.3, which was a tenth below the consensus for 110.4
The expectations component fell to 93.2 vs. consensus for 94.6 and last month’s 94.2.
The IFO Business Climate Index is based on surveys of 7,000 companies.
