Economic Update: S&P Case-Shiller Home Price Index
The S&P/Case-Shiller report shows house prices in the U.S. rose on a year-over-year comparison basis in the month of June.
The S&P/Case-Shiller Home Price Index of 20 metro areas shows that home prices in the U.S. rose by +0.5% year-over-year, which was better than expectations for a decline of -0.2%.
The Case-Shiller Index is a three month moving average prices and covers nearly half of all U.S. Homes.
