Economic Update: Construction Spending
The Commerce Department reported that Construction Spending rose by +0.9% in May.The level was well above the expectations for an increase of +0.2%.
April’s reading was revised up to +0.6% from +0.3% (March: +0.3%, Feb: -1.1% Jan: -0.8, Dec: +1.5%, Nov: +0.4%, Oct: -0.2%, Sept: +0.2%, August: +1.6%, July: -0.2%).
