Here’s a brief look at the pre-market action…
- Greece is once again all over the headlines as questions arise on their true commitment to austerity measures.
- Protests continue, a vote is supposedly scheduled for the Greek parliament on Sunday, prior to a Euro finance minister meeting on Feb. 15....Questions abound again on whether Greece will be able to remain in the Euro zone.
- Asian markets were a bit mixed but down around -0.8%.
- Europe selling off fairly hard, down about -1.0% and U.S. futures are testing recent support levels, with the S&P futures down about 10 points as we write this.
- There are several important data points today, including import/export data at 830 am eastern , consumer confidence at 955 am eastern and some macro-economic projections from the Philly Fed and ECRI… Bernanke speaking at a housing conference at 1230 pm eastern
