Economic Update: Weekly Jobless Claims
Initial Claims for Unemployment Insurance for the week ending 2/4 fell by 15,000 to 358K.
The reported total was below the consensus estimate for 370K and also last week’s revised total of 373k.
Continuing Claims for the week ending 1/28 came in at 3.515M vs. consensus of 3.492M and last week’s 3.451M.
