Fitch Alters Ratings on Italian Banks
Following its downgrade of Italy to ‘A-‘ on January 27, ratings agency Fitch took ratings action on Italian banks this afternoon.
The agency downgraded the following:
- Bana Monte dei Paschi di Siena – To ‘BBB’ from ‘BBB+’
- Banco Popolare's – To ‘BBB’ from BBB+’
- Unione di Banche Italiane – To ‘BBB+’ from ‘A-‘
Fitch also affirmed UniCredit SpA and Banca Bopolare di Sondrio at ‘A-‘.
