Economic Update: S&P Case-Shiller Home Price Index
The S&P/Case-Shiller report shows house prices in the U.S. fell for the third consecutive month in November.
The S&P/Case-Shiller Home Price Index of 20 metro areas shows that home prices in the U.S. dropped -3.7% in November. This was below the consensus expectations for a decline of -2.8%.
On a monthly basis prices for the 20 metro areas fell by -0.7%.
The 10-City Composite was down -3.6% on a year-over-year basis and fell -0.7% from last month.
The Case-Shiller Index is a three month moving average prices and covers nearly half of all U.S. Homes.
