Stock Futures Pointing To Lower Open On Wall Street

Here’s a brief look at the pre-market action…
- Asia was generally weak across the board, down about -1.0%.
- Europe also trading lower, down about 0.7% as we write.
- EU meeting in Brussels today and continued concerns over the Greek debt deal and now Portugal heating up as yields rise.
- Sentiment on the European situation weaker today as Greek leaders resistant to giving up too much control over budgetary authority.
- Light day on the economic calendar with personal income and spending at 8:30 am est.
- Also very light on the earnings calendar in terms of big names. Note that the heaviest days of the earnings season are Tuesday through Thursday this week.
- The S&P futures are trading around 1305-1306 now after opening last night at 1314… Dow futures down about 60-70
