Economic Update: University of Michigan’s Consumer Sentiment Index
The initial reading for the University of Michigan’s Consumer Sentiment Index for January was reported at 74.0, which was well above the consensus for a reading of 71.9 and above the December read of 69.9.
Note that there are two reports for the Confidence Index each month: Preliminary and Final.
