DSK Update: IMF Chief Resigns
In a letter to the IMF, Dominique Strauss-Kahn announced his resignation as the Managing Director of the fund. DSK said that he needs to devote all of his energies to defend himself against sexual assault charges.
"I deny with the greatest possible firmness all of the allegations that have been made against me," Strauss-Kahn said in a resignation letter released by the IMF and dated May 18.
Later today, DSK will likely make his second request for bail. The former managing director of the IMF is currently being held at New York’s infamous Rikers Island prison.
